It's been a crazy year in the world of music, with so many talented artists and bands dropping hit after hit. We've listened to everything, from upbeat pop to rap, from hippie soul to hard rock ballads, and everything in between.
There's seriously been no shortage of songs to add to your Spotify playlist this year, but we also to account the most popular aesthetics people were going for in 2022! Today we want to take you down memory lane and show you our favorite albums on Vinyl this year.
Let's start our adventure into the diverse and creative world of this year's music scene.
1. Midnights by Taylor Swift [Moonstone Blue Edition LP]
Listening to Taylor Swift's "Midnights." is a chance for healing! It's a greatt pop album with high-quality production, like all of her albums. I appreciate that she stays true to her usual style while also trying out new sounds and methods of making music.
The interplay between the lead and background vocals really adds a special touch to the album and gives it a catchy and pleasing sound. The mood of the album is introspective and the lyrics reflect that.
Overall, "Midnights" feels like a therapeutic and well-crafted work of art. If you haven't listened to it yet, I highly recommend giving it a tryy!!
2. AM by Arctic Monkeys
I've been listening to the Arctic Monkeys' album "AM" since my tumblr days, and I was blown away that its raw energy and catchy rock sound are still trending toward the top of sales in 2022.
For those who might not know, this album was originally released in 2013. The band's distinctive style is on full display, with frontman Alex Turner's smooth and swaggering vocals leading the charge.
The lyrics are sharp and clever, tackling themes of love and relationships with wit and honesty. Standout tracks like "Do I Wanna Know?" and "R U Mine?" showcase the band's signature guitar riffs and infectious hooks, while the more laid-back "No. 1 Party Anthem" and "Mad Sounds" show off their versatility and range.

3. Harry's House by Harry Styles
I was exposed to Harry Styles' album "Harry's House" through my best friends, who have been huge fans of Harry since One Direction. I found myself immediately nodding my head and tapping my feet to the beat.
The singer's unique blend of pop, rock, and soul throughout the record, tracks showcases all the different sides of his musical style. From the upbeat and catchy lead single, "Golden" to the soulful and introspective "Cherry," Styles demonstrates his versatility as an artist and his ability to craft engaging and emotional songs.

4. IGOR by Tyler, The Creator
Another "oldie", IGOR, the fifth studio album by Tyler, the Creator. This one was released back in May of 2019. Which feels insane to me, thinking pre-pandemic music is still on the charts today. The album features guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Charlie Wilson, Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, and Solange.
The production on Igor is for real top-notch, all the while Tyler's signature style shining through. On Every. Single. Track. The beats are funky and fresh, and the lyrics are clever and introspective.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "I THINK," which features a smooth, soulful sample and introspective lyrics about love and relationships. "EARFQUAKE" is another standout, with a catchy, upbeat beat and an infectious chorus.
Overall, Igor is a solid addition to Tyler's discography and a must-listen for fans of his music. It's a testament to his growth as an artist and a showcase of his unique style and talent.
5. Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
You can never lose when the aesthetic of an album is this good! This one reaches all the way back to 1977, our oldest album on this list!
"Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac is a timeless classic that has truly stood the test of timee. Their choice of mixes in rock, pop, and blues influences perfectly capture the band, and really create that signature Fleetwood soundd!
Myself and others relate a lot to the song "Go Your Own Way,". Fleetwood describes the end of a relationship.
Overall, "Rumours" is a must-have for any music fan! It's unique sounds showcase the talent and chemistry of Fleetwood Mac members. The songs are well-written and the performances are top-notch, making it a classic that will continue to be enjoyed for years to come!!!
